Before training as a therapist I worked for many years in the corporate world as a Marketing Director. This has given me a solid understanding of the challenges that can arise when working in a highly competitive and demanding environment. As a perfectionist, over the years I've found therapy really helpful for managing my perfectionism in a healthy way; a big part of this has been practicing self-compassion and learning how to turn the volume down on self-criticism.
My approach is about compassion, empathy and emotional validation: I'll make sure you feel safe when you meet me. Working together we can create a physical and mental space where you can be yourself without fear of being judged or rejected; a place where you can feel validated, supported and comfortable enough to show raw emotion, vulnerability, or explore the parts of yourself you don’t like, or are ashamed of.
I can provide both short-term solution-focused therapy and longer-term deeper work on the self. Although short treatments can provide great results, I believe therapy is most effective when you allow time to go deeper.
I offer sessions in comfy rooms in Clapham North and Battersea, south London and online sessions across the UK and Ireland. I understand it can be hard to look for support and choose the right therapist, so I offer a free 15-minute consultation call, to see if we'd be a good fit to work together and for you to ask me any questions you might have.
