    Background

    Welcome to my profile,

I’m an experienced Psychologist with a Bachelor's degree of Psychology and a Master's on Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

After graduating in 2010, I continued to work as a Professional in the field of Psychology for 15 years. To meet my clients’ needs and expectations, I integrate evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Play Therapy.

In 2013,I was granted a Jean Monnet scholarship by the Commission of the European Union in Consumer and Health Protection Chapter of the Acquis to study and research Mental Health at Queen Mary, University of London.

This opportunity enables me to get a better understanding of how psychosocial and cultural factors influence human behaviour and mental processes.

During my career, I have continued my professional development by attending clinical workshops, courses and conferences such as BPS Seminars on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, BPS and RCPsych Annual Conferences, King’s College and St.Andrews Healthcare Psychiatry Summer Schools.

In addition to these, I’ve presented my research Project at the Royal College of Psychiatrists International Annual Congress 2015 with granted a College bursary. As I result of my presentation, I have been awarded a Certificate of Commendation.

Besides being a psychologist & psychotherapist in the field, I’m working with couples and families as a Systemic Family Practitioner with the advanced training I have received on “Family Therapies” given by the Institute of Systemic Psychotherapy and Central and West London NHS Trust.

To practice under the Professional Ethics and Values, I’m a member of British Psychological Society (BPS), The Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy(BACP). Also, I have an accreditation of the Council of Higher Education (Turkey) regarding to my Professional qualifications which gives me the full entitlement to be known as a Clinical Psychologist in Turkey.
