    Background

Hello, I'm Rachel, an integrative counsellor dedicated to helping clients experience more fulfilling lives.

I can provide you with a safe and empathic space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, with the aim to overcome self-limiting beliefs, increase self-esteem and uncover your true potential. My approach is mainly rooted in person-centred counselling but as each client's situation is unique, I may introduce psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural techniques (CBT) if helpful to explore the impact of your past on the present, and the development of intrusive or rigid thoughts and patterns of behaviour, including unhealthy habits.

Whether you're facing big challenges or struggling with feelings of sadness, fear, or confusion or just feeling stuck in your life, we can explore these issues together. Counselling with me is a shared process where the aim is to enable you to gain self-awareness, clarity, feel more grounded, and build confidence to move forward. Our work will help nurture a brighter outlook for you.

If you're ready to explore how we can work together, please book an initial 45-minute assessment where we can talk about what you would like to see change and take the first step towards a better future.

Past experience: With a background in psychology and 25+ years working in education providing 1:1 support, advice and mentoring. I have supported people with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bullying, emotional dysregulation, neurodiversity, social communication challenges, relationship issues, self-harm, addiction, and more. I am also experienced in supporting individuals pre- & post-diagnosis with autism, ADHD, specific learning difficulties, mental & physical health conditions, and sensory and mobility impairments, which allows me to empathise effectively and guide clients toward acceptance, resilience and hope.
