    Background

I studied Hypnotherapy in a clinical setting at Chrysalis, under Prince Charles’s Trust. I studied counselling here. I have a diploma in CBT and REBT. I have clinical working hours and I am studying MSc Psychology. My research interest is the link between mental health and modern vs ancient grains, and the relationship between gut health and mental health wellbeing.

I qualified as a Special Needs Teacher with invisible disabilities, mental health, refugee, and community in 2014 from the University of Sunderland. I taught pupils aged from 7-40+ years with mild and severe learning difficulties (MLD &SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), common mental health problems and physical disabilities. I have worked in education centres, hospitals, safe houses, and care settings.

I was a trainer at the Prison services and the Pupil’s referral Units (PRU).

I received academic awards from Southampton City College and the University of Greenwich.

I am a qualified Journalist; I have worked in academic journalism focused on psychology, hypnotherapy, and motivational tools and I worked as a community journalist. I have published educational articles in the UK, USA, China, and the Czech Republic. I have work experience in Asia, Europe, and the USA.

My transferrable skills and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds enable me to provide person-centred service.

I can speak English and standard Bengali; I know basic Hindi and Urdu.
