I work in a person-centred way, recognising that you, the client, are the expert on your experiences. I offer you a place to explore yourself safely, without judgement. I will support you so you can find your own way, and find your own solutions to your problems. I’m committed to helping you figure out what you need, together.
Person-centred counselling is based on the idea that, with acceptance, honesty and empathy, you can reach your full potential and become your truest self. As a person-centred counsellor, I can help you explore your problems, emotions, beliefs, and behaviour, to help you become more self-aware and hopefully happier.
My focus is on trans and non-binary identities, and ethical non-monogamy. I also have experience working with survivors of domestic violence, and more general issues such as anxiety, depression and low mood.
I am white, working-class, neurodivergent, queer and ethically non-monogamous. Also, I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns. I was drawn to counselling because I have a strong desire to help people. I’ve never liked the idea of saving the world in a broad sense, I’d rather help one person at a time so that no one gets left behind. I am passionate about social justice and improving the world we live in, and I do my best to continue to expand my knowledge and examine my prejudices. Intersectional acitivism is the only way forward, in my opinion.
