Adult add test

Do you have symptoms such as difficulty concentrating, planning and organising? Here you can take a short online test to see if you have symptoms of ADD.

This self-test is inspired by the DSM-5 criteria for ADD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and is a first indication of whether you may have traits of ADD. The test is not a substitute for a professional diagnosis, but can provide a better understanding of your experiences to help you decide if you should seek further help. It takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Having difficulty focusing, forgetting things or feeling easily distracted can be something that everyone experiences at times. However, for people with ADD (now called ADHD with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), these difficulties are part of everyday life and can affect work, study, relationships and self-image. They often struggle with concentration, planning and organisation – but without the restlessness and impulsivity associated with traditional ADHD.

Many people with ADD have lived with their difficulties for a long time without understanding why some things feel more challenging than others. They may describe frequent daydreaming, forgetting important tasks or putting things off until the last minute. This can create stress and frustration, both for the individual and for those around them.

What should I do if I have symptoms of ADD?

If you have symptoms of ADD, you may want to proceed with a neuropsychiatric assessment to determine if you have the diagnosis. The assessment is carried out by a doctor and psychologist who together evaluate whether you have the diagnosis. The assessment consists of interviews, cognitive tests and sampling, you can read more about the assessment here. At Lavendla, we have psychologists and psychiatrists who can help you. If you have ADD, you can get help with medication and psychological treatment to function better in your everyday life.
