I know that talking is often the primary way we work together. However, I also recognise that sometimes words aren't enough, especially when navigating complex emotions or past experiences. That's why, at times, and particularly with some client groups, I might invite the use of creative and expressive methods like drawing, storytelling, music, or movement. These are simply different pathways to help you express feelings and experiences that might be hard to voice, always at your pace and as you feel comfortable.
My ongoing work in primary school settings, providing arts and play-based therapy to children who often have experiences of neurodiversity and significant trauma, continually deepens my understanding of emotional expression and relational safety—insights that profoundly enrich my work with adult and young clients too.
