As an integrative counsellor I adopt different modalities in helping clients gain insight into how past experiences, unconscious processes, and early relationships influence present behaviour and emotional struggles. The psychodynamic approach encourages self-awareness, allowing clients to uncover and process unresolved conflicts, repressed memories, and patterns that may be affecting their current life.
Our time may be used in addressing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and incorporating CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to distress.
As a compassionate and skilled therapist with a great appreciation of the therapeutic relationship, I offer the core conditions; authenticity, empathy and a non-judgemental space, walking alongside you with an aim of fostering your self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and the ability to make empowered choices that align with one’s true self.
I believe counselling is an individual journey and that one approach does not work for everyone, so as your journey changes so will what is needed from me as your therapist.
